What you need to know to help develop Etoys:

  1. Download a recent version of the Etoys development image from http://etoys.squeak.org/download/. Press the button in the top left marked "update code from server" .  When you are asked "Load the latest packages from the default repository" select "Yes".  This will synchronise it with the latest changes.
  1. Subscribe to the Etoys Software Development Mailing list on Squeakland to share ideas, suggestions, and fixes, or just lurk.
  2. Bugs, enhancements and ideas should be reported on Etoys Issues Tracker.
  1. Changes should be submitted to the Etoys Inbox with a Monticello Browser (http://source.squeak.org/etoysinbox). If you prefer, changesets with code contributions may be attached to a bug on the Issues Tracker. Note: You must have an account there and be logged in to report a bug. Create an account on Etoys Issue Tracker.
  2. By submitting any changes to the Source Repository or Etoys Bug Tracker, you are releasing your contributions under the MIT licence.
  3. Process for Contributing an Etoys Change (fix or enhancement), and submitting the change for inclusion is described on the developer's detail page.

That is all. For more details, see Starting with Etoys Development.
