Dear Friends of Scratch,
Last year, we were excited to host more than 300 Scratch educators and
enthusiasts at the first Scratch@MIT conference
(http://scratch.mit.edu/conference/).
This year, we're trying something different. We're reaching out to the
Scratch community to organize a network of gatherings, on the same day
in all parts of the world, where people can meet, share, and learn
more about Scratch. Already, Scratch Day events are being planned in
Hong Kong, Japan, Palestine, Russia, South Korea, and the United
States.
We're hoping that you'll participate in a Scratch Day gathering on May
16 - or even organize one. You could arrange a hands-on workshop to
introduce newcomers to Scratch, or an exhibition to showcase projects
by local Scratchers, or a session where educators share their
experiences with Scratch, or an informal gathering where Scratchers
can meet one another and exchange ideas. What will your Scratch Day
look like?
